Man with loaded handgun prompts Baldwinsville elementary school lockout

BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A man was arrested and charged with bringing a loaded handgun onto the school grounds of McNamara Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon.

The school no longer remains in lockout.

When 41-year-old Brian Gould got out of his car, according to Doug Roser, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, a handgun fell out of his waistband and onto the school’s parking lot. A staff member spotted Gould picking up the handgun and alerted the school’s special resource officer…
