New York State Fair vendors face potential challenges with new rules

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — For the past 21 years, Jim Kerwin has spent the weeks leading up to the New York State Fair preparing Tikki Turtle for opening day.

Stocking supplies, cleaning the stand, and planning for the thousands of fairgoers expected to stop by for chicken tenders, burgers, fries, and mac and cheese bites have become part of his annual routine.

But this year, Kerwin says new vendor policies have him feeling nervous about what lies ahead…
