The Department of Homeland Security says it warned Paigelynne Gonyea about a social media post Tuesday because she posted the address of the ICE agent who shot Renee Good in Minnesota in January.
Two federal agents delivered a warning to Gonyea in person while she was working at a primary election polling place in Syracuse. The visit has drawn national attention.
The agents delivered a warning letter that threatened Gonyea with prosecution for threatening an agent. The agents flipped through a folder with what Gonyea says she was told were printed social media posts from Gonyea’s account. But she said she did not look at each one closely.
