Ronald McDonald House hosts Christmas in July drive to restock pantry and supplies

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Christmas cheer came a bit early Thursday as the Ronald McDonald House Foundation hosted its “Christmas in July” foundation drive.

The annual event helps the non-profit restock pantry shelves and replenish supplies of key items. All donations will go to support families with seriously ill children who travel to Syracuse for medical care and use the House as a place to stay while their children are receiving treatment.

“When families are here, we don’t like them to have to worry about anything other than the health and well-being of their child,” said executive director Beth Trunfio. “These are essential needs for families, and at the Ronald McDonald House, that’s what we do.”…
