Chalk Jam brings out the creative side of all ages in Downtown Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Children and adults unleashed their creative side in Downtown Syracuse on Saturday at Chalk Jam. This was the fifth annual event, when artists of all ages are able to rent a space on the sidewalk and create a masterpiece done by strictly chalk.

At the end of the day, judges will vote on the artwork done on the sidewalk. The top prize for children was for tickets to Seabreeze Amusement Park in Rochester. For the adult winner, the price was a goodie bag full of restaurant and sport show certificates.

It took place on Montgomery Street, right before art lovers entered the Arts and Crafts Festival…
