Micron update: Hiring continues, profits soar and heavy truck traffic begins in Upstate NY (aerial photos)

Syracuse, N.Y. — After more than three years of study and planning, the Micron Technology chipmaking complex in the town of Clay is well underway.

The company broke ground in January. Earlier this month, Micron started pouring concrete, a critical step toward releasing billions of dollars in funding from the federal CHIPS Act.
