SENNETT, NY — A 56-year-old man faces a drug charge after authorities say he attempted to dispose of cocaine while in custody at a sheriff’s office facility.
Daniel J. Root, of Cato, was arrested Aug. 5 on one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.
