Onondaga County legislators question future taxpayer costs for Harborview Aquarium

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — As the nearly $104 million Harborview Aquarium moves toward a fall opening, Onondaga County legislators are questioning what the project could cost taxpayers after the doors open.

The county has said ZoOceanarium will operate the aquarium, but questions remain about the project’s long-term financial responsibility and whether taxpayers could eventually be asked to provide additional funding.
