Man dies from being shot in Syracuse, after police say he was found in the street

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A 51-year-old man died after being found on East Fayette Street, according to Syracuse Police.

Sergeant Thomas Blake, a spokesperson for Syracuse Police, said around 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, police were called to a man who had been shot.

Blake said police found a 51-year-old man in the street with gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen. Officers gave the man medical attention before he was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he later died…
