CICERO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A driver in the town of Cicero died in a rollover crash Tuesday evening, Aug. 25, Cicero Police Chief Steve Rotunno confirmed to NewsChannel 9 | LocalSYR.
Just before 6 p.m., officers were called to 6550 Island Rd., near Ferguson Road, following reports of a car crash.
A statement from the Cicero Police Department said that when officers arrived at the scene, they came across an extensively damaged car off the south shoulder of Island Road. Behind the car’s steering wheel, police found the driver unconscious and not breathing.
Police determined that the car, a 2023 4-door KIA, went off Island Road while heading eastbound, hit a utility pole, and then flipped over multiple times. The driver, later identified as a 30-year-old man, was the only person in the KIA…
