SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Summer is winding down, which means school will be back in session for thousands of students in Central New York.
See the list below to find out when your local school district will be opening its doors for the new school year.
Syracuse City School District
Sept. 8: All grades K-12
This district is implementing a new school schedule that places students in two different schedules, or “blocks.” The two schedule times, which are designed to improve school bus efficiency, are listed below:
- A Block: 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Students start arriving at 7:20 a.m.
- B Block: 8:40 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. Students start arriving at 8:30 a.m.
Liverpool Central School District
Sept. 8: All grades K-12
- K-2 primary schools (Elmcrest, Donlin Drive, Long Branch, Willow Field) will run from roughly 9:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- 3-5 intermediate schools (Morgan Road, Liverpool, Chestnut Hill) will run from roughly 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Soule Road is the exception, with its day running from 9:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- 6-8 middle schools (Chestnut Hill Middle, Soule Road Middle, Morgan Road Middle, Liverpool Middle) will run from 8 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.
- Liverpool High School will run from 7:40 a.m. to 2:19 p.m., except for early dismissal at 10:50 a.m.

Baldwinsville Central School District
Sept. 8: All grades K-12
- Elementary Schools (Elden, McNamara,Reynolds, Van Buren) will run school days from 8:45 a.m. to roughly 3:15 p.m. Palmer Elementary will run from 8:35 to 3:20.
- Dugree Junior High School (Grades 8-9) will run from 7:40 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Ray Middle School will run from 7:25 a.m. to 2:17 p.m.
- C.W. Baker High School will run school days from 7:35 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.

East Syracuse-Minoa (ESM) Central School District
Sept. 8: All grades K-12
- Park Hill (Pre-K) start times vary by age group. For info on scheduling, the main office can be contacted at 315-434-3800.
- Elementary Schools (Woodland, Minoa) run from 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This does not include East Syracuse Elementary, which runs from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Pine Grove Middle School will run from 8:10 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.
- Central High School will run from 8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Early dismissal days will end at 12:30 p.m.
