DeWitt, N.Y. — A DeWitt home was heavily damaged by smoke after a fire broke out in the kitchen Wednesday morning, according to DeWitt Fire Chief Jason Green.
Firefighters were called to 509 Craigie St. in the town of DeWitt just after 10 a.m. after receiving a report of a kitchen fire that was spreading, Green said.
