Syracuse, N.Y. ― The circumstances leading up to the death of 11-year-old Ashton Degonzaque two years ago are still shrouded in mystery, but new details have emerged about the hours leading up to his fatal overdose.
Ashton, a sixth-grader at Grant Middle School in Syracuse, died on March 7, 2024 of an overdose of fentanyl mixed with cocaine, marijuana and bath salts.
