Central NY native wins Hollywood award for blockbuster film career

Central New York native Mike Fantasia is being recognized for a decades-long career that includes some of Hollywood’s biggest movies. Fantasia, a 1973 graduate of Auburn High School, received the “Unsung Hero” award at the American Cinematheque’s Tribute to the Crafts last week. It’s the first time the award has been handed out at the event, and a rare recognition for a behind-the-scenes job in the film industry: Location manager.
