Judge rules prosecutors violated Syracuse man’s rights but denies mistrial

Syracuse, N.Y. ― A judge ruled Wednesday that prosecutors violated the rights of a 19-year-old on trial for attempted murder, but found it was not enough to warrant a mistrial.

Nakise Elliott is accused of riding up on a Veo electric bike on Knaul Street on June 23, 2024, and firing five shots around 8:40 p.m., prosecutors have said.
