Onondaga County buys last piece of ShoppingTown Mall after years of legal battles

DEWITT, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Onondaga County now owns all of the former ShoppingTown Mall, after writing a check for the final parcel it had to fight to obtain.

“We gave a 2.5 million dollar check to Benderson,” County Executive Ryan McMahon confirmed to NewsChannel 9 | LocalSYR.com that the county government gave a $2.5 million check to Benderson Development.
