Nob Hill ordered to let tenants get their possessions back after fatal February fire

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Destra Management has been ordered to allow Nob Tenants back into Building 3 and retrieve their possessions.

Syracuse City Court Judge Shadia Tadros issued the order on April 15. Destra, which owns the troubled apartment complex, has 14 days to comply with the order. Destra could be fined $500 per week for each tenant who is not allowed into the building to retrieve their belongings.

The order follows a fatal Feb. 28 fire at the complex that left Building 3 tenants confused and without answers. The fire shut the building down, forcing tenants into temporary homes as management and city officials said they would work to correct a myriad of code violations…
