Syracuse, N.Y. – The developer of a proposed nine-story apartment building near Syracuse University is scaling the project back as costs rise.
New plans filed by Gem Street Holdings LLC with the city show the building at 411 University Ave. will be only three stories tall.
In addition, the building will contain 30 apartments instead of the 47 that had been planned. They will all be one-bedroom apartments. The 47 units previously planned would have been a mix of studios and two-, four- and five-bedroom apartments…
