Overnight police chase starts in Clay and ends in Cortland, woman in custody

CLAY, N.Y. (WSYR) — A woman in her 20s is now in custody after leading deputies on a chase that started in Clay and ended in Cortland, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office tells NewsChannel 9.

It all started around 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, when deputies noticed a car making an illegal U-turn at the intersection of Route 31 and Soule Road in Clay, according to Tom Newton with the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
