North Syracuse leaders explore future of village government amid budget concerns

NORTH SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Leaders in the Village of North Syracuse are beginning to explore what it would mean if the village could no longer operate as it currently does, following a difficult budget year and ongoing financial concerns.

During a recent village board meeting, Deputy Mayor Robinson raised questions about the long-term sustainability of the village, including whether it should continue to exist in its current form.
