Man dies after being electrocuted while in elevated basket in Syracuse neighborhood, fire official says

Syracuse, N.Y. – A man died after being electrocuted Thursday afternoon while in an elevated basket near a multi-family house on the South Side, a fire department official confirmed to syracuse.com.

The man may have been painting, Syracuse Fire Department Capt. Erik Castor said.

It was unclear how the equipment the man was using—a boom lift from Taylor Rental—came into contact with live wires, Castor said…
