‘That concern in your head’: Liverpool district parent shares emotions after standoff near school

SALINA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — No one was hurt after a standoff between a suspect and law enforcement in Liverpool on Thursday, but a parent of a child at a nearby school couldn’t help being concerned.

The confrontation followed a reported shots fired incident a few blocks down the road from Chestnut Hill Elementary and Middle School on April 30, with a suspect later arrested. Authorities later said an investigation found that no shots were fired

Liverpool Central School District sent parents and faculty an alert, which told them about the standoff but reassured parents that all students and staff were safe. That reassurance did not calm everyone’s worries, however…
