Syracuse man arrested after police seize 3 pounds of fentanyl, meth and guns

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse man was arrested after more than three pounds of fentanyl, methamphetamine and firearms were seized, troopers said.

State Police and the Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team ended a four-month investigation Friday that identified a home at 1002 Midland Ave. as a location used for the sale of illegal drugs, according to Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a spokesperson for State Police.

Search warrants executed at the home and on Mack A. Givens, 49, resulted in the seizure of 3.26 pounds of fentanyl, 72.8 grams (2.6 ounces) of methamphetamine, two 9mm handguns — including one reported stolen from Georgia — high-capacity magazines and ammunition, Jiron said…
