LIVERPOOL N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — New York State Route 57 is now open after being closed off in both directions in Liverpool on Tuesday night following an incident involving a tractor trailer, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office said.
Tom Newton, public information officer with the sheriff’s office, said in a statement at 7:52 p.m. that the route was closed between the Liverpool Bypass and Meyer Road after a “tractor trailer accident that resulted in a downed traffic signal near the New York State Thruway entrance.”
In an email at about 10:04 p.m., Newton said the route was open but people were asked to use caution “because crews are still fixing the lights issue.”…
