With Micron as its magnet, Onondaga County draws a crowd at USA investment summit

National Harbor, Md. – In a giant convention hall filled with thousands of international investors, Onondaga County’s booth was a popular stop Tuesday for businesses looking to expand to the United States.

One by one, businesspeople from more than 10 nations – including Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Canada and Ukraine – stopped by to meet with County Executive Ryan McMahon and his team of five economic development specialists.

The county had come to the 2026 Select USA Investment Summit at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center outside of Washington, D.C., hoping to lure new businesses to Central New York…
