SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — After dozens of meetings with every department within the Syracuse city government to negotiate changes to the next budget, city lawmakers unanimously passed a version of the budget on Friday that reduced the mayor’s proposal by about $5.5 million.
“The past month has been a 30-day sprint,” councilor Corey Williams said.
