Massive search underway in 2 states for missing New York teen

(NewsNation) — Large search crews from two states are looking for an 18-year-old who was last seen at his home in upstate New York three days ago.

Dalton Malmstrom was last observed leaving his home in the town of Nichols, Tioga County, New York, at about 7:45 a.m. on May 9, according to New York State police. The area is near the Susquehanna River, directly north of the Pennsylvania border.

Family members reported Malmstrom wasn’t acting like himself before he left home, according to state police, who added that a massive group of emergency responders and volunteers from New York and Pennsylvania are actively involved in the search.

Troopers said he left his home following an argument with family, according to local outlet Democrat and Chronicle.
