Be prepared for thunderstorms and gusty showers in parts of Upstate NY Saturday evening

A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Saturday at 4:08 p.m. for thunderstorms and gusty showers until 6:30 p.m. for Yates, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Steuben and Schuyler counties.

“Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will move across the Finger Lakes Region this afternoon. A few stronger storms could produce gusty winds up to 45 mph. Showers and storms will start to diminish in coverage this evening,” explains the weather service.
