Property Values Shift Across Pierce County

Pierce County residential property values declined slightly this year while commercial properties values grew, according to recently released figures from the Pierce County Assessor-Treasurer’s Office.

Countywide, residential values decreased by an average of 1%, affecting roughly two-thirds of property owners, while commercial properties increased by 3%. Warehouse and light industrial properties saw some of the most significant increase, rising an average of 5%.

The updated assessments will be used to calculate 2027 property taxes, though individual tax bills will not be finalized until early next year. Property owners who disagree with their assessed value have until Aug. 25 to file an appeal with the Pierce County Board of Equalization…
