Pierce County police chase ends in two arrests, gun found in car

In a statement Friday, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office said that just before 1:00 am Friday, a deputy spotted a vehicle traveling well over 80 mph with its lights blacked out on 224th St. E in Spanaway.

According to the statement, when the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver accelerated and exceeded 100 mph.

The office said that since the car was driving in an “extremely dangerous manner and the roads were clear of traffic at that hour,” deputies pursued the vehicle…
