$4.9 million waterfront development in Pierce Co. to ‘finally become a reality’

The city of Gig Harbor has awarded a contract for crews to start building their long-awaited commercial fishing homeport.

At their meeting Aug. 10, the Gig Harbor City Council unanimously passed a motion authorizing the mayor to implement a public works construction contract with Redside Construction, LLC for roughly $3.6 million, according to the council document.
