Man shot, killed by Tacoma police during domestic violence call; no officers injured

TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma police shot and killed a man Sunday afternoon after responding to a reported domestic assault in the 700 block of South Stevens Street.

Officers were sent to the home at about 2:38 p.m. and arrived at about 3:09 p.m. At about 3:56 p.m., officers reported shots fired at the scene.

The Tacoma Police Department said officers rendered aid to the suspect until Tacoma Fire Department personnel arrived a short time later and pronounced him dead at the scene. The suspect was not identified in the information released…
