Victim in downtown Tacoma shooting was wanted in connection to 2020 homicide

The Pierce County Medical Examiner identified one of the Sunday downtown Tacoma shooting victims as a Milton man who was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service in connection with a 2020 homicide.

Elijah Hylton, 30, died at 12:27 a.m. Sunday, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner Public Information Portal. His exact cause of death has not been released yet. The second victim has not been identified, and no arrests had been made as of Tuesday afternoon.
