FSU LB commit Greg Batson close to shutting things down, unlikely to visit Mississippi State

Florida State linebacker commitment Gregory Batson is close to shutting down his recruitment, he told reporters on his departure from this weekend’s official visit. It sounds like a decision on finality could come this week, with Batson stating “I don’t think I will” take his scheduled OV to Mississippi State this upcoming week.

“It was good, it was a great weekend,” Batson said of the visit. “More than likely [will shut things down], still have to see how the week goes, but more than likely.”

Batson (6-1/215) committed to FSU in November. He’s been to campus at least six times now, making the two-hour trek straight south and across the Georgia-Florida line from Leesburg. He one of the Seminoles’ highest-rated commitments in the 2027 class as the Lee County High (Leesburg, Ga.) prospect holds an 89 grade from 247Sports…
