Court records: Local woman federally indicted in $378K Tallahassee Housing Authority fraud scheme

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee woman was indicted by a federal grand jury for defrauding the Tallahassee Housing Authority (THA) in a scheme that put $378,000 in her pockets, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of Florida.

45-year-old Lekishaann Huggins is charged with 39 counts of bank fraud, aggravated identity theft, four counts of spending money laundering and two counts of filing a false tax return.
