The nearly three-year-old criminal case against Tiffany Carr, the longtime head of the now-defunct Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence who was charged with swindling millions of dollars from the agency, quietly came to an end Sept. 14.
Court records obtained by the USA TODAY Network – Florida show Tallahassee-based Circuit Judge Stephen Everett – following a previously agreed-to ‘no contest’ plea agreement – adjudicated her guilty of organized fraud, a first-degree felony punishable by up to 30 years.
