The 10-year anniversary for this year’s Power Forward Speaker Series brings a double dose of stardom with the appearance of serial entrepreneurs Barbara Corcoran and Robert Herjavec from ABC’s “Shark Tank.”
The event takes place 3:30-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall, 222 S Copeland St. Tickets are $10 to $30 ($10 for students) and are available at tickets.fsu.edu. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the FSU Fine Arts Ticket Office, in the Fine Arts Building at 540 W. Call St.
In an interview with the Tallahassee Democrat, Herjavec said there’s currently unlimited opportunity for entrepreneurs and “this is the best time in history to start a business.”
“We have online presence, access to cloud computing, access to resources, but it’s also one of the most competitive times to start a business because everybody has that access,” Herjavec said. “I think that the people that succeed are the ones that actually move forward. There’s a saying I have in our company which is, ‘constant forward momentum.’ Talk is great. Action is better.”
