Three arrested after Wakulla County search tied to Facebook Marketplace theft case

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. — A burglary and theft investigation in Wakulla County led deputies to a home where detectives said they found stolen property, methamphetamine and narcotics manufacturing equipment, resulting in three arrests.

On March 30, 2026, Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office road patrol deputies responded to a reported burglary and theft involving a Wakulla County resident. During the investigation, deputies discovered that a suspect, John Smith, was allegedly selling stolen property through Facebook Marketplace. The case was forwarded to the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigation Division.

On March 31, 2026, Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office detectives developed probable cause and obtained a search warrant for John Smith’s residence.
