Georgians pray for rain as “Red Flag” warning goes up again

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — People living near a wildfire along the Clinch and Echols County line in South Georgia were told to prepare to evacuate Monday night as the Pineland Road Fire inched closer to populated areas.

The evacuation preparations came as the National Weather Service issued a red flag warning today for conditions favorable for wildfires throughout the region. Southern Alabama, northwest Florida, southern Georgia and the Big Bend were all listed as areas of concern.
