TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – We get to enjoy a really nice end to the weekend after Mother Nature brought the region much-needed rain yesterday.
Rain totals were between 1 and 3 inches with yesterday’s front. Here are some of the numbers:
Behind the front, cooler air has ushered in, so you may need a light jacket as you head out for the morning run or get ready for church.
Warm and sunny afternoon:
A nice spring-like Sunday with highs in the 70s and a good breeze out of the north. You should be able to leave the windows open for much of the day, let that fresh air in!
Along the coast, winds out of the north between 15 and 20 knots, lowering to 10 knots in the afternoon. Waves 3 to 4 feet and choppy inland waters and bays.
Warming trend next week:
Next week starts sunny and warm with temperatures in the 80s in the afternoon. Morning lows in the 50s.
Slightly more heat and humidity arrive on Wednesday as highs reach the upper 80s ahead of our next weather system. Hot and humid on Thursday before any storms or showers arrive. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.
The Thursday front and upper-level support looks weaker than yesterday. This means lower rain totals and likely no severe weather risk. We will keep an eye on any changes…
