FSU and Georgia will “work in good faith” to schedule 2028 neutral site game in Tampa after cancelling home-and-home series

Florida State and Georgia announced on Thursday that the home-and-home series scheduled between the two schools had been cancelled, reflecting both the SEC and ACC commitments to playing nine conference games.

As part of a public records request, Tomahawk Nation received a copy of the cancellation agreement between the schools. It confirms both schools are negotiating with Tampa for a 2028 neutral site game.

The parties have mutually agreed to terminate the contract and all of the provisions of that contract, including payment requirements. Despite the cancellation, the parties shall work in good faith to contract for a neutral site football game between the University of Georgia and Florida State University to be played in Tampa, Florida in 2028…
