Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on state roads in the Big Bend area as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
The Florida Department of Transportation sent the following advisory on May 8:
Franklin County
- U.S. 98 Resurfacing from Franklin Street to Carrabelle River Bridge – Motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures Monday, May 11 through Thursday, May 14, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for construction activities.
Leon County
- Interstate 10 (I-10) Resurfacing from west of Olson Road to east of U.S. 90 (Mahan Drive) – Motorists may encounter intermittent nighttime lane closures Sunday, May 10 through Thursday, May 14 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for paving operations.
- S.R. 263 (Capital Circle) Resurfacing from south of U.S. 90 to north of I-10 – Motorists may encounter intermittent turn lane closures Sunday, May 10 through Thursday, May 14 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving operations.
- I-10 Median Crossover Operations Between Exit 196 and Exit 199 –Motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures Monday, May 11 through Thursday, May 14 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for construction activities.
