TAMPA, Fla. – A two-vehicle collision on Interstate 275 left an SUV overturned and sent a Tampa man to the hospital early Thursday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-275 near mile marker 40, just before the State Road 60 interchange.
State troopers reported that a Nissan SUV, driven by a 70-year-old Tampa resident, was traveling southbound in the outside center lane. At the same time, a 62-year-old man from California was driving a Hyundai sedan southbound in the adjacent outside lane.
