TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Hundreds of people came out to Hillsborough County’s inaugural Hurricane Expo to learn more about preparing ahead of this year’s storms.
“How prepared are you now? How resilient are you, is going to really impact how well you’re going to be able to bounce back and recover if we do have impacts this season,” said Hillsborough’s Emergency Management Operations Section Chief Katja Miller.

Over 40 departments and organizations passed out information and supplies to get people prepared for the next storm.
“We definitely cannot be complacent,” said Miller. “These storms can be really unpredictable in ways. They may have a lot of other impacts and hazards that you may not yet have experienced.”…
