TAMPA, Fla. — The City of Tampa is waiving admission fees at all 12 city-run public pools on days when heat advisories are active, city officials announced Wednesday.
The policy takes effect immediately as heat index values climb to 112 degrees across the region this week. Residents can use the facilities at no cost during standard operating hours whenever an official heat advisory remains in place.
Operating schedules vary across each location. City officials noted that several facilities host high school swim teams, meaning portions of certain pools may be reserved for student practices at set times. General public access will continue during those hours, though open swimming space may be limited. Daily schedules are posted at tampa.gov/pools…
