HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — Helicopters will take to the skies across parts of Hillsborough County on Wednesday night to spray for mosquitoes following local detections of dengue fever virus.
Hillsborough County Mosquito Management Services announced that aerial spraying will begin at 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 16 and run through 6 a.m. on Sept. 17. The low-flying helicopter mission will cover two primary zones: Town ’N Country and East Tampa. If weather or technical issues interfere, backup spray dates are set for Sept. 17 and Sept. 18.
