Midtown Tampa is getting a new 339-unit apartment tower, with the 23-story Midtown South Tower planned for Himes Avenue and Cypress Street.
Confirmed to TBBW after a foundation filing Monday, the roughly 423,000-square-foot tower will add another residential building to the 22-acre district, alongside apartments, hotels, stores, restaurants and roughly 650,000 square feet of office space.
More than two dozen individual properties were stitched together over decades to create those 22 contiguous acres, enough land to build Midtown’s different pieces together rather than one project at a time.
