TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A front has stalled out over the state that will keep skies mostly cloudy along with high rain chances. It will not rain all the time but passing downpours will be around throughout the day, especially in the afternoons.
Temps will be lower the normal with the extra clouds and rain sticking around. Highs will be in the low to mid-80s and lows in the mid-70s. It will feel quite muggy with dew points in the mid-70s.
A developing system in the southern Gulf will bear watching through the end of the week. A tropical depression is likely to form today or today. Invest 92L is in an area of favorable development for now. Water temps are warm and the wind shear is low. Some quick organization is possible, but not guaranteed. Either way, as the system lifts north it will begin to encounter stronger wind shear which should help to weaken the system as it approaches land…
