Affordable senior housing complex opening in Junction neighborhood to meet growing need

TOLEDO, Ohio — Leaders in northwest Ohio say affordable senior housing is becoming a growing concern as the region’s aging population continues to rise.

Officials with the Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio and the Junction Coalition said many older adults in Lucas County are struggling to find safe, affordable places to live. A new senior housing development in Toledo’s Junction neighborhood is expected to help address some of that demand.
