From red, white and blue to the era of wanting your MTV

FREMONT – Independence Day took a walk through the many eras experienced through 250 years as a nation, but for many, the fun of the parade was much simpler.

Tami Bowman brought her family’s newest members to their first parade that day, with Taelor bringing 4-month-old Easton, and Brittani bringing 4-year-old Braxton. The wonder on their faces was the same excitement shown by the many other children in the crowd.

Estimates of more than 4,000 people along Front Street did not seem exaggerated, and as people stood and sat in lawn chairs sometime more than three rows deep, for the length of the parade.
